ANNOUNCING The triumphant return of The ESCAPE FROM mT CRAWFORD mini-DURO!

The annual-ish fundraiser for the Miramar Trail Project is back after a 2-year break, with a newly rebuilt Jailbrake, shuttled practice, and a few other surprises. You won't want to miss it.

There will be two classes and we'll use all trails in the reserve (not including Topatopa). Misdemeanour will not use Solitary.

Each racer gets 3 timed runs, lowest overall time for 3 completed runs wins.

    1. Misdemeanour - all runs of a slightly easier nature
    2. Felony -  all runs on more technical tracks

Placing in Felony class count towards the Wellington Enduro Series overall.

At the end of each run, there will be an non-timed liaison stage back up  to the start of the course. Shuttled practice! The fine folks from Wellington MTB Adventures will be running shuttles for practice in the morning as part of your event fee (please queue in an orderly manner).

The race will be unshuttled, and you can ride, push, crawl or carry to the top, but using a private shuttle, or using any other means to get to the start line at the top of the hill is an instant DSQ.

    Ride the newly rebuilt jailbrake

Jailbrake is ten years old, and we thought it needed a wee birthday. The great team from the Wellington Trails Trust have funded a complete rebuild of the track, and it's rather epic (if we may say so ourselves). The race will be the first opportunity to ride the trail, so you'll want to be there. Trust us.

    Late Entries.

We might be able to offer late entries on the day - keep an eye on our facebook page for more details of this. On the day entries are $50.

    Event timetable.

8:30am - Registration opens (at dual slalom course)
    9:00am - Shuttled practice starts

    12:30 - Registration closes
    1:00pm - Shuttles finish
    1:15pm - Race Briefing
1:30pm - Racing starts. This year, Felony class will go first, followed by Misdemeanour
3:00pm (or thereabouts) - racing complete and prize giving

We may shorten practice if we have a high number of racers so that we don't run out of light. If there are updates to the timetable during the day, this will be announced over the PA and printed on the board at the registration desk.

    Event Facilities

Please note there is no water tap on site.

A portaloo will be present for the day.

All proceeds go to Miramar Trail Project track building.
