The annual Makara Enduro is back for its 8th year! And we’re very pleased to announce that this year, we’ll be joined by Canadian royalty—ay.

Registration opens Monday 6 December. Head over to the Facebook event page for the latest updates.

We're proud to support the Makara Peak Supporters. Proceeds from the race go back to the Makara Peak Trails.

The 2022 Justin TruDuro is brought to you by:

    • 7:45am-9am: Registration
    • 9:15am: Mandatory rider briefing
    • 9:30am: Race start
    • 12:30pm: Race finish
    • 1:15pm: Prizegiving

Registration closes at 9am sharp, we suggest arriving early to avoid the queue. And if you all arrive at 9am, we won't get the race started on time! You’ve registered online, so all you need to do is check-in and grab your timing chip.

This is mandatory for all riders. If you’re not present for the briefing, we can’t let you race. The race starts in the carpark shortly after briefing.

The race finish is in the grass area at Mud Cycles, no later than 12:30pm for all competitors. Prizegiving is on the turf outside Mud Cycles at 1:15pm.

COVID-19 vaccine passports required for everyone age 12+

Due to the Government's COVID-19 Protection Framework and its impact on outdoor events under the traffic light system, vaccine passports will be required for this event for everyone aged 12 and over.

You can read more about the traffic light system and outdoor events here: https://covid19.govt.nz/alert-levels-and-updates/covid-19-protection/

The Makara Peak carpark will be closed during the race. This is to keep everyone safe, particularly during registration and rider briefing. No surprisingly, a couple hundred bikes take up a lot of space.

The overflow carpark will be open but very limited. If parking in surrounding Karori, please be courteous to the residents. We’ve not had a complaint yet (that we’re aware of) and we’re keen to maintain that record. Ride to the event or carpool if possible.
