Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ll know the 2010 Mountain Bike World Champs are on this weekend in Mont St Anne, Canada.

If you are stuck back here in little ol' NZ and wanting to know how you can watch the action LIVE to give your support, we have put together a list of start times (in NZ local time) and links to view the action. There is just one catch, Freecaster are charging you to get access to the coverage.

Unfortunately the Junior’s DH race is not shown on Freecaster. So to keep up with the live action, you can watch the live timing on the UCI website for this and all the races… and it’s free!

Maidstone Park – Upper Hutt
Sunday 19th September – 9am to 4pm

Long Gully Station – Brooklyn
Practice day – Saturday 6th November – 10am to 3pm

Race Day – Sunday 7th November – 8:30am to 4pm
WMTBC Member $25 + $50 bond*
Non-member $30 + $50 bond*

*$50 bond is required due to the use of electronic timing chips. The $50 will be refunded in full to the rider at the end of racing on the condition that their electronic timing chip is returned to the Wellington Mountain bike Club undamaged.

Please bring your entry money with you on the day.

WELLINGTON WINTER SERIES

The Committee is still working through the administration for the Wellington Winter Series events, so there will be a little while before entries for these events are being taken. For now, mark these dates on your calendar and hang tight, these races are going to be a huge step forward for Wellington downhill events so make sure to get amongst it!

Wellington Mountain Bike Club Clothing Competition! | Print |

Now's your chance to show off your creative flair. We are looking for designs for Wellington Mountain Bike Club Clothing.

The aim is to create a jersey design for the club that's both appealing and easily identifiable, particularly at race events. The design may also be transferrable to casual tshirts and hoodys.

The winning design will incorporate colours, shapes, symbols and imagery that you see best represents Wellington, WMTBC and its members.

Entries close Tuesday 31st August.

You can find our more information on how you can submit your design by downloading the competition 'Brief'. This also includes a template of the jersey you can use on page 2.

Submitted designs will be put up on our website, visitors will be able to vote for their favourite design and the Committee will make the decision on the final design and contact the winner.


The Prize!

The winner will take away a piece of their own clothing, with their design, in their size. Also, a pair of Smith Fuel goggles valued at $100!
