BAMBAduro Recap

27 Feb 2023 2:30 PM | Anonymous member (Administrator)

What a day!

Thanks to everyone that came out today to the 2023 BAMBAduro. We had some great racing on trails that delivered on our optimistic hopes that they would dry after the deluge of the past week.

It was so good to see so many smiles at the bottom of the hill (and the queue for the sausages and cakes). Your entry fees will go towards BAMBA making more great trails.

Results

The results for the event have been tabulated, and loaded up at WebScorer. We've split the results into the hard course (which will be used for the 2023 Wellington Enduro Series points) and intermediate course.

For each course, the stages are displayed as laps, with the following order:

Lap 1 - Bull Run

Lap 2 - Electric Avenue into Wētā

Lap 3 - Borderline

Lap 4 - Off Camber Daze (OCD) (hard course only)

The hard course can be found here, and the intermediate course here.

If you've got any questions with the results, please let me know.

Race photos

We had several people with cameras out on course, and photos will be posted to the BAMBA Facebook page over the coming days. Keep an eye out for more drops for some bangers to jam your gram with.

...and coming up next

Today was the second round in the Wellington Enduro Series, and we've got a great summer of racing planned. Sunday the 26th will see the Arapuke Enduro (hosted by the Manawatu Mountain Bike Club) - entries are available online here.

And Revolve are running the 2023 Revolve Super V in Waimapihi Reserve on the 4th of March. It's a shuttled day (from the wind turbine down to the bottom of Serendipity in Aro Valley), with a timed run to finish the day off.

We hope to see you soon!
