Online entries close Friday 27th January at 5pm. Entries are capped at 160 total. There may be entries available on the day, however they will be limited

After a one year break, the Wellington MTB Club is proud to again host the Mt Vic Super D. Now in its 6th year, this event has become a staple on the Wellington MTB calendar. We're also pleased to have WORD along once again, hosting the Mini D for kids age 7-12.

The Super D race line is characteristically Mt Vic - fast and fun. It includes a number of technical sections, with some jumps thrown in, and a few short climbs to ensure that a balance of fitness & riding skill is rewarded.

The day kicks off with an open practice session, followed by a short break to watch the Mini D race, then a final practice before racing starts.

Shuttles are provided for all practice and race runs, to transport competitors from the bottom of the track back up to the top of the hill where the track begins.

From 2pm, each rider will have one timed race run from top to bottom of the track – the shortest time takes the win. Winning times in previous years have been between 5-6 minutes.

For 2017, the race village has moved from the carpark of previous years, to the MTB Skills Area below Alexandra Rd. This provides a much better space for families, supporters and competitors to relax, refuel, and keep entertained on the features in the Skills Area.

In association with WORD, we're hosting the Mini D - a grass roots race for kids between 7 & 12 years. The Mini D is a scaled back Super D, following roughly the same line as the big kids, with much less difficulty.
